Man confesses robbery

District Attorney Michael Sheppard reports the suspect in a bank robbery in Yorktown has been sentenced.
Chad Wayne Carriker was sentenced in September to 40 years in prison for robbing Prosperity Bank in Yorktown. Carriker plead guilty to the charge.
Sheppard noted in addition to the DeWitt County charges, Carriker faced charges in a number of other counties in the area. He is expected to plead guilty in those cases as well, Sheppard said.
He said a number of area law enforcement agencies worked on the case with Texas Ranger Morgan Miller in charge of the investigation of the robbery in Yorktown.
