No election needed for Yorktown city council

Yorktown City Council will not need to call an election in May because three people filed for the three positions facing election.

Renee Hernandez has filed for re-election as mayor and Jerry Alvarez has filed for re-election as a member at-large.

Shauna Lamprecht filed as a member at-large completing the seats that would have faced election.

Mitchell Martin had held one of the at-large positions but chose not to seek re-election.
