   Raymond Edward Sturm, 69, of Baytown, passed away March 22, 2013. 
   Raymond was born Sept. 21, 1943, in Yorktown, the fourth of 11 children. He attended Holy Cross Catholic school and grew up helping his family work the farm. In 1964 he married Agnes Stepanski at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Baytown. They resided in Baytown until 1979 when they moved their family to the quiet country in Devers, Texas, where Raymond enjoyed being outdoors working on his property, tractors, and doing woodwork in his shop and barbecuing for his family when the weather was warm. He earned a living as a carpenter and went into business for himself in 1985 building houses, cabinetry, roofing and more.  
   He is preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte Rose Sturm; father, Herman Julius Sturm; and brothers, Robert and Albert Sturm.
   Raymond is survived by Agnes Sturm and their five children: Cynthia Rust of Boise, Idaho; Dwayne Sturm of Baytown, Loretta Broussard of Boise, Idaho; Randell Sturm of Baytown and Christina Bailey of Boise, Idaho; mother, Eleanora (Warzecha) Sturm of Yorktown; siblings, Herman Joseph Sturm of Victoria, Sister Mary Ellen Sturm of San Antonio, Wilbert Sturm of Yorktown, Alvin Sturm of Pasadena, Janet Sturm of Yorktown, James Sturm of Victoria, Linda King of Edna, and Marvin Sturm of Victoria; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
   Visitation will be held 5-9 p.m. on Friday, April 5 at Finch Funeral Chapel in Yorktown with a rosary at 6 p.m. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
