Trustees fill band, coach jobs

A special called meeting by the YISD Board of Trustees was held Aug. 5 at the Yorktown Junior High Library.
 
Yorktown can rest knowing that the Wildcat Marching Band will be on the football field during half time. Michael Parker from Laredo ISD was hired to be the band director. He was a graduate of the University of Texas sixteen years ago and was a National Merit Scholar.
 
Crystal Martinez was hired to teaching Reading for the Middle School and to coach girls volleyball and basketball.
 
Robbie Tindol was hired as the boys  physical education in the elementary school and coach for football and baseball.
