City to annex land, buy building

Cuero City Council agreed to annex land in two locations and purchase a building on Main Street at a meeting recently.
Council agreed to deposit earnest money on a building next door to the city administration building.
The building currently houses State Farm Insurance and is owned by Richard and Bonnie Wheeler. It was noted the city is considering buying the building because Wheeler indicated he will be retiring in the near future.
