Tigers too much for Wildcats

The rain, nor the delay of game, nor the loss drowned the spirits of the Yorktown Wildcats after losing to the Goliad Tigers 28-7 last Friday night in the tiger pen.

“They are a [big 2A] school who beat a small 1A team. I promise you, their time will come just like it happens every year when they play against their own,” said Coach Ty Robinson during their huddle after the game. “I am proud of the way you played tonight except for that last drive. We broke down. We need to improve on offense so I will see you Monday. We have work to do.”

The Wildcats won the toss and opted to kick-off first.
