Harry Louis Sievers, 95, of Yorktown, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.
He was born March 10, 1918 in Meyersville, to the late Hugo and Katharine Landgrebe Sievers. He was a farmer/rancher/carpenter and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He married Maline Floyd Goehring on July 7, 1941, in Cuero. He served in the Navy for several years.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bobby; son-in-law, Edward Heinold; twin sister, Harriet; brothers, Lee Wallace, Weldon, and Dennis; brothers-in-law, Delbert Goehring and Virgil Baacke.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Irene Heinold of Mission Valley and Karen (Steven) Murschel of Elk River, Minn.; sister, Joyce Baacke of Yorktown; sisters-in-law, Deloris Sievers of Victoria and Gerry Goehring of Yorktown; grandchildren, Mary, Ronald, Donald, Shelly, Kristal, Amy, David, and Travis; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Also, the mother of Bobby’s children, Virginia Henyan (BJ).
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Finch Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at Finch Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ronald and Donald Heinold, David and Travis Sievers and great-grandsons, Ryan Sievers and Darrell Heibel.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Yorktown EMS.
