Dorothy Helen Campbell of San Angelo passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013. She was 81. 
 
Service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 3 S. Randolph St. in San Angelo.
 
Dorothy was born on July 24, 1932, in Cuero to Raymond and Elizabeth Cook. San Angelo had been her home since 1972. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and participated in the Education for Ministry program. In 2004, Dorothy retired after working for over 25 years in the banking business. She was gifted in her ability to connect to people from every walk of life. Those who knew Dorothy were privileged and energized by her humor, her infectious smile, her engaging love for people and her genuine concern for everyone she knew. She was selfless, generous and cared deeply for her family, friends, coworkers and customers. 
 
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Cook of Cuero. 
 
She is survived by her three sons, Charlie and wife Anna Campbell of San Angelo, David and wife Debra Campbell of Arlington, Rex Campbell of San Angelo; daughter Mary and husband Randall Bankhead of Roscoe; brother Charles and wife Zella Cook of Cuero; grandchildren Allison Campbell of San Antonio, Candice Campbell of San Angelo, Scott Bankhead of Roscoe and Laura and husband Chase Schuchard of Memphis, Tenn.; niece Dr. Lisa Cook of Tallahassee, Fla.; nephew Charlie Cook of Covington, La.; two great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 3 S. Randolph St., San Angelo, TX 76903; or to one’s favorite charity.
