Nitis Mae Gibson English, 89, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 in Cuero.
She was born Feb. 21, 1924 to Frank and Althea Gibson in Victoria, Ill. She was a founding member of the Chapelwood Methodist Church in Houston and a member of Grace Community Church in Houston.
She is survived by her sons, Darryl English and his wife Donna of Humble, Ken English and his wife MaryAnn of Brenham, and Kyle English of College Station; daughters, Sandra English of Cuero and Jana Henry and her husband Bill of Sterling, Colo; grandchildren Tempi McLeod, Kimberly Welsh, Melissa English, Will English, Casey Henry, and Cameron Henry; and great-grandchildren, Madeline McLeod, Brendan McLeod, Annabel McLeod, Jessica English, Cierra English, Gabe English, Elena Welsh and Liam Welsh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Southern English; siblings, LaRue Gibson, Minalie Logue and Joyce Davis.
Funeral was held Friday, Oct. 25 at Brookside Funeral Home in Houston. Burial followed. Pastor Rick Minett officiated.
