Yorktown Wildcats take another loss

There was no question that the Wildcat defense learned from their last game about “wrapping up.” However, the Wildcat offense had a few issues of their own with  5 fumbles, 4 turnovers, and 2 penalties of unsportsmanlike-conduct. With this combination it ultimately cost Yorktown the game, 41-21 against the Kenedy Lions at Kenedy on Nov. 1.

Kenedy won the toss and elected to receive the ball first. The lions had eight plays before they lost the ball in turnovers. With Yorktown’s first possession, quarterback Jacob Garcia passed to Doss Torrez for 15 yards. Torrez ran another 18 yards before fumbling the ball. Kenedy recovered and scored three plays later, 6-0.

The next two team possessions were lost to turnovers.
