Public invited to Texas Swedish Christmas exhibit

The DeWitt County Historical Museum will hold an open house on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 2 until 4 p.m. featuring Swedish Christmas customs.
Betty Rathkamp of Yoakum has donated costumes for display. The museum will also feature a Swedish Christmas tree and cooking traditions of a Texas Swedish Christmas.
The museum invites the public to come by and learn more about the rich heritage and enjoy a Swedish cookie and punch. In addition the exhibiton “Media Influence on Western Culture” will remain displayed on the enclosed porch of the museum. The museum is on 312 Broadway St. in Cuero. There is no admission fee.
