The citizens of Yorktown may have a special opportunity to take part in something that has been needed for quite some time. The community is in the beginning stages of building a home for Habitat for Humanity.

Mike Stern and Kalvin Bruns, local residents, have built homes in Victoria and Goliad for Habitat for Humanity. Stern is now heading a sub committee for the Yorktown branch. He said, “What is needed at this time is for Yorktown area residents to volunteer their ideas and suggestions for the Habitat.”
