The Nordheim Lady Pirates looked lethargic in the first half of the game against Prairie Lea at home on Jan. 24 ending the first half with a slight lead 26-23.
Nordheim coach Randy Castillo said, “We wanted to mix it up tonight. We started out slow and then in the second half we wanted to throw them off. We ran hard, backed off, and then pushed it again.”
Nordheim’s Eliza Metting and Tessa Green came out the second half nearly shutting down Prairie Lea’s offense. Metting and Green were the two leading rebounders only allowing 15 points in the second half. Nordheim had a total of 42 rebounds for the game.
