Wildcats fall short to Beavers

Yorktown Wildcats traveled to Falls City on Jan. 28 and returned with a little less than expected. The Wildcats lost in a close match 52-55.

Yorktown coach Scott DeMarco said, “We played decent. We missed some free throws early and it came back on us.”
As it stands, the Wildcats are 2-4. They need to win the rest of their games if they want to secure third seed for the playoffs.

“They almost have to be to control our own fate,” DeMarco said.

Jan. 31 Yorktown will face Pettus away returning home for the next two games. Feb 4 the Wildcats play Three Rivers and on Feb. 7 they play Kenedy. The Wildcats will end their district games away in Runge on Feb. 11.
