NISD starts work on school

It was not about keeping up with the Jones’ when Nordheim Independent School District had their ground breaking ceremony on Jan. 30 near the front entrance of the school.
 
Glenn Mueller, school board president and Nordheim High School graduate class of 1963 said, “We are standing the test of time. The school building is 65 years old and we have to keep up with change. The old building no longer fulfills the purpose to the young,” making reference to internet and technology.
 
Nordheim ISD trustees had put together a bond election to sell $3,750,000 worth of bonds for campus improvements. The improvements include  a new activity center, a new vocational shop classroom, new elementary restrooms, and a new administration addition that will extend from the current front entrance approximately fifty out just past the current flag pole.
