Gobblers take baseball win from Edna

 

It did not start so well for the Gobblers but as Shakepeare said, “All’s well that ends well,” at least for Cuero as they defeated Edna 9-2  on Feb. 25 at home.
 
While in the bull pen D’Mond Lafond was warming up and looked good with his pitches. However, during the first inning Lafond struggled, walking four of the seven batters, giving up two runs. Edna had the lead 2-0.
 
Going into the second inning Corbin Goebel replaced Lafond to finish the game. Goebel pitched three innings allowing one hit, walked one, and struck out four batters.
