Late rally not enough for Yorktown to catch up

 

The Yorktown Wildcats came back strong in the final innings but it was not enough to catch up with Kenedy losing 5-8 in seven innings on March 7 at home.
 
With 23 at bats Yorktown had five hits and 11 strike outs. D. Ramirez went 2-2 with one run and one walk. Milam Eckhardt hit a two run single.
 
Caleb Schendel was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked five and struck out four.
 
Johnathon Carter pitched three innings giving up one run, four hits, walked one, and struck out four.
 
March 11 the Wildcats will play an exhibition game against the alumni and ending their preseason game at home against Moulton on March 14 at 5 p.m.
 
Yorktown will play their first district game away against Shiner on March 18 followed with their first district home game against Weimar on March 21 beginning at 6 p.m.
