Yorktown hosts Wildcat Relays on perfect Spring day

The Wildcat Relays in Yorktown was held on March 20 and was one of the more competitive meets in a long time. The girl’s first five places were within 18 points with Nordheim placing fourth and Yorktown in fifth. 
 
Sam Niemeier, of Yorktown, threw her best throw in the shot put this year at 40’-5”earning her first place by a long shot of 8’-7.5”. Currently she is first in area.
 
Alyssa Leister, of Nordheim, ran her fastest time of 59.4 in the 400m dash. She is currently first in area.
 
And the Yorktown Junior Varsity Boys track team took first place overall by a 90 point lead.
