Wildcats play "best game of the year so far"

It was described as the “best game of the year so far” when the Yorktown Wildcats baseball team played Flatonia at home on April 14.

Yorktown baseball coach Justin Havard said, “Everybody played a roll in [that] game and it looked as if we have finally came together fully. They all understood their roll on the team, from Cy Strieber being a utility player to Michael Rodriguez being our DH. They had some faith and confidence.”

Flatonia came out in the first inning and scored two runs. The Wildcats matched them to tie the score 2-2.  In the second and third inning Flatonia scored five more runs without the Wildcats answering back.
