Many changes taking place at Cuero ISD

The phrase “pomp and circumstance” was popularized by Shakespeare in his play “Othello” in Act III, scene iii: “Farewell the neighing steed and the shrill trump, The spirit-stirring drum, th’ear-piercing fife, The royal banner, and all quality, Pride, pomp, and circumstance of glorious war.”
The sound of pomp and circumstance and displays of ceremonial grandeur can almost be seen and heard as the seniors are wrapping up all their studies as they prepare to receive the accolades and praise they deserve for completing their high school career. The faculty, staff, and board of Cuero ISD are proud to remind the family and friends of our 2014 Gobbler graduates that commencement will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, 30 at Gobbler Stadium. However, if we have inclement weather, we will conduct graduation inside the Competition Gym like we did last year. Students will receive approximately eight tickets each for seating inside the gym if needed. Additional admission will be allowed on a first come, first serve basis to the extent we can allow it without violating the fire code. When we held graduation in the gym last year, no one was turned away. We made every effort to accommodate everyone possible.) We sincerely appreciate all who support and contribute to Cuero ISD student scholarships, Education Foundation, and Project Graduation.
Cuero ISD summer school will be held at the high school for all grade levels again this year from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday, each week. Transportation will be provided for centralized pickup and drop off to Cuero ISD students, and buses will transport students to the Boys & Girls Club after lunch with parent permission.
