New crew continues street paving

It may take a little longer for Yorktown residents to see smoother streets.  That’s because the Internal Revenue Service has apparently seized equipment owned by Cummings Paving, a subcontractor doing the job.
 
But according to Yorktown city administrator Robert Mendez, the streets will get done.  Mendez said the IRS seized equipment owned by Cummings Paving, a subcontractor hired by Zimmerman Construction, to do the street work about four weeks ago.  “Zimmerman has the contract,” Mendez said.  “Zimmerman hired Cummings Paving to do the work.”
