YVFD respond to house fire

Yorktown Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire Thursday night in the 2700 block of FM 237.
 
A 911 call to sheriff’s office dispatchers indicated a fire had started in the back of the house under a covered porch but was spreading to the house.
 
When YVFD firemen arrived, they reported the house was fully engulfed. Residents of the house had moved to a safe location outside the home. Reports indicate the house was destroyed by the fire.
 
Yorktown Fire Department responded with four pieces of equipment and were assisted by Cuero Volunteer Fire Department with two trucks.
