Thanks to all who helped "Love One Another" walk

Dear Editor,
We would like to thank all those who helped and donated to the success of the “Love One Another” walk and gathering. This was a great event in gathering the churches together in Christ and fellowship. We would also like to give a special thanks to Cuero H-E-B and Walmart for their continuous support of events that promote the community. Also a thank you and God bless to all the pastors that recognize the need for such a move and participated in support of the community.

Thanks to a wonderful angel

Dear Editor,
I just wanted to thank an unknown person who helped us out in our time of need. At approximately 7 a.m. on May 16 my husband and I were on our way back home from a trip that was caught short because my husband was feeling ill. When we reached the corner of Hunt and Sarah Street, my husband had passed out. I took control of the steering wheel and took the vehicle out of gear.
When we came to a stop, a woman came to the door and took control. She tried to get my husband to respond, called an ambulance and stayed with us until the ambulance arrived. When my husband was put into the ambulance I looked around and the lady had already gone.
I just wanted to say thank you to our wonderful angel.
Sincerely,
Otto Lee and Delores Koenning

Lost money at post office, hoping to get it back

Dear Editor,
On Feb. 8, I was at Cuero Post Office about 12:30 or 1:30 p.m. I had gone to the post office to purchase money orders, got $40 cash (two $20s) from the clerk. Just came from the doctor’s office and was in a rush and I accidentally dropped the $40 near the post office boxes.
I glanced and saw a lady on a cell phone and not realizing I had lost the money, I went to leave the post office to go to the drug store when I found I had lost the $40.
I am disabled and a cancer survivor.
I posted notes I lost the money and I told everyone in hopes the $40 would be returned.
If you found it please give it to the Cuero Post Office counter help to be returned to me.
I will soon get another surgery.
God bless you!

Dear Editor,
The members of the Nordheim Shooting Club would like to thank everyone who participated, worked and attended our event this year. It could not have been done without the support of our community.
Thanks again for a wonderful Mayfeast. We hope everyone had a good time and enjoyed the show. We will see you again next year.
