Nava family thanks community for support

Dear Editor,
We would like to thank the wonderful Community of Cuero for the love and support they have given during the home going of our beloved mother Felia Nava. Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and Heritage Funeral Home of Memory Gardens performed a beautiful and memorable home going service. Once again thanks to all of our family and friends.
Home is where the heart is,

Cuero VFD still accepting donations for truck fund

Dear Editor,
The Cuero Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend its thanks and appreciation to those that supported the department’s annual barbecue fundraising drive this year. It was once again a huge success.
The department would also like to recognize the Friends of Cuero Softball organization who helped in serving the plates. Funds raised will go towards the department’s yearly operation cost.
The department is still accepting donations for its truck fund in which the department is trying to collect enough funding to purchase several new fire trucks. There is still a long ways to go.

Thanks to all who attended Frank's party

Dear Editor,
Thanks to all my neighbors and friends who came out June 8 to attend Frank’s third annual spring party in Arneckeville. The weather was perfect and the barbecue, cooked by Herbert and Perry Vernon, was more than perfect. My family and friends all pitched in and put together a memorable evening. We danced under the stars to Johnny Garner and company’s music.
Our special guest of the evening was State District 30, The Honorable State Representative Geanie Morrison. Thank you Rep. Morrison for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit with us.
Over 100 of my friends and neighbors attended and we all look forward to doing it again next year.
Sincerely,
Frank A. Ybarra

District thanks all for time, support

Dear Editor,
On behalf of Yorktown ISD, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the parents, community leaders and members, churches, and community organizations who have donated equipment, time, effort and funds to Yorktown ISD.
Many of our donors have asked to remain unnamed. However, we appreciate all of you for your commitment to our district and to our students.
We want to thank you for your generosity. Our district greatly appreciates it.
Sincerely,
Deborah E. Kneese
Superintendent
