Moore — Light

Robert and M’Liss Moore of Meyersville are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Melanie Catherine Moore, to Michael Holden Light. He is the son of Colleen and Logan Ketron of Fredericksburg and Michael and Brenda Light of Sunrise Beach. The couple plans to marry at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg. Melanie is a 2007 graduate of Cuero High School, and then continued her education at Texas A&M University in College Station as a member of the class of 2011. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in animal science in December 2010 and her Masters of Science degree in animal science with a meat science emphasis in December 2012.

Beer — Walpole

 

Carol and Dr. Robert Beer of Peoria, IL, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Laura Beer of Cuero to Blake Walpole of Victoria, the son of Mary Godfrey and the late Bill Walpole of the Port Lavaca area. Laura graduated from Cuero High School in 2008. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science degree in 2012. She became a certified public accountant in the summer of 2014, and she works at the finance office of the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory. Blake graduated from Industrial High School in 2007. He graduated from Blinn College with an associate’s degree in allied health in 2013. He works as a physical therapist assistant at Fortress Health and Rehab in College Station. The couple will marry at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, at St. Michael’s Church in Cuero.

Flores — Regalado

 

Dakota Brooke Flores of Cuero and Benjamin Matthew Regalado of San Antonio were united in marriage on Dec. 27, 2014, at Spinelli’s Cathedral in Comfort. 
 
The bride is the daughter of Ruben and Robbin Flores of Cuero. She is the granddaughter of Isobel and the late Andres Flores of Seadrift and Shirley and the late Rev. Robbie Holcomb of Cuero, formerly of Seadrift.
 
The groom is the son of Rudy and Rose Regalado of San Antonio and the grandson of Domingo and Celia Regalado of San Antonio and the late Max and Irene Cortez of San Antonio.

Ashton graduated from Cuero High School in 2007 and graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University in 2013. She is employed by Victoria ISD as a kindergarten teacher at Chandler Elementary School. Steve graduated from Cuero High School in 2009 and attended Austin Community College. He is employed by Wells Fargo Bank in Victoria.

She is a 1998 graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga., with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry and a 2002 graduate of The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed her residency in 2005 in San Antonio and is employed by the University of Texas practicing Family Medicine in Houston. Cedric is a 1998 graduate of the High School of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice in Houston. He graduated from Sam Houston University in Huntsville with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2003, and is employed by the University of Texas: M.D.

Andria is a 2001 graduate of Yoakum High School and a 2006 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Evolution and Behavior. She is employed by Aransas County Independent School District as an eighth grade science teacher at Rockport Fulton Middle School. Michael is a 1987 graduate of Rockport Fulton High School, a 1996 graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and a 2006 graduate of National University – San Diego with a Master of Arts in English.
