Wilson — Schubert

Charlie and Cheryl Wilson of Cuero are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Cydny Ray Wilson, to Justin Kyle Schubert, son of Dale and Teresa Schubert of Skidmore. The bride is a 2007 graduate of Cuero High School. She obtained an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science Degree from the Victoria College and is working toward her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing. She is employed at the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office as the training assistant. The groom is a 2003 graduate of Skidmore-Tynan High School. He is a 2007 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a 2008 graduate of the Alvin Police Academy as a Texas Peace Officer. Sansom — Bressler

Eileen and Walter Weidner of New Berlin and Susanne and Trip Sanmon of San Antonio are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Kaylnn Sansom to Michael Bressler, son of Kimberly and Mark Bressler of Cuero. The couple will marry at the Boulder Sprints Event Center in New Braunfels on July 25, 2015. Kaylnn is a 2009 graduate of La Vernia High School and a 2013 graduate of Texas Lutheran University with a bachelor’s degree in art. She is employed with the Yoakum school district as a art teacher at the high school. She is the granddaughter of Ralph and Emily Reina of San Antonio, Darlene Weidner of New Berlin,  and Walter and Betty Weidner of New Berlin. Michael is a 2007 graduate of Cuero High School. Hileman — Dentler

 

Casey Suzanne Hileman and Clinton Allen Dentler of La Porte were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at the mother of the bride’s property in Westhoff. Pastor Mark Hoover of Killeen officiated the double-ring ceremony. 
 
The bride is the daughter of Carlette Winkler Hileman of Westhoff and Randy Hileman. She is the granddaughter of Mabel Mazoch of Yorktown and the late C.R. Winkler and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hileman of Port O’Connor.
 
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Dentler of Victoria. He is the grandson of Ellerine Dentler of Victoria and the late Walter Dentler, Mr. and Mrs. D.P. Reagan of Victoria and the late Jo Beth Reagan.

Couple celebrates 25th wedding anniversary

 

Armando and Mary Corpus are pleased to announce that they celebrated their 25th anniversary on May 10, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, officiated by the Rev. David Berger. Armando and Mary were married on May 13, 1989 in Cuero. Mary is the daughter of Antonia Gonzales and the late Cruz Gonzales Sr. She has two sons, Marty Rene Hernandez of Houston and Albert Acosta Jr. of Chicago. Armando is the son of the late Ysidro Sr. and Elisoa Corpus of Yorktown. Armando also has two sons who served as best men, Eric and Derrick Corpus, both of Cuero. Armando and Mary have a daughter, Amanda Hayley Corpus of Cuero, who served as maid of honor. Margaret Salina, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Heaton - Stafford

Marsha and Dan Heaton of Uvalde are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Heaton of Madisonville, to Brandon Stafford of Cuero, son of Darla and Bill Stafford of Thomaston. Brandon proposed to Heather on top of Emory Peak while on a hiking trip to Big Bend National Park. The couple will marry on Saturday, Nov. 8, along the Guadalupe River at Thomaston.  Heather is a 2003 graduate of North Zulch High School and a 2009 graduate of Angelo State University. She is a fourth grade teacher at Cuero ISD.  Brandon is a 2003 graduate of Cuero High School and a 2008 graduate of Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Imes completes Nuclear Power Course

GOOSE CREEK, South Carolina – MM-3 Isaac Imes, a member of the enlisted class 1404, has completed the Advanced Naval Nuclear Power Course at Goose Creek, South Carolina.  The US Naval Nuclear Power Training Command had ten separate sections graduating with a total of 326 graduating sailors. Following graduation from Nuclear Power School, officers and enlisted personnel are assigned to one of the program’s prototype propulsion plants in New York or Moored Training Ships in South Carolina for 24 weeks of additional classroom and hands-on training. Sue and Mark Doehrman of Meyersville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dacey Marie Doehrman of Meyersville, to Bobby Layne Nance of Seguin, son of Laura Havelka, of New Braunfels, and Donna and Brian Nance of Seguin. Dacey is the granddaughter of Doris and the late Floyd Doehrman of Meyersville and Lucy and Duck Ohrt of Mission Valley. Bobby is the grandson of Mary and the late LeRoy Havelka of Portland, Texas, and Joe Pat and Patricia Nance, of Pilgrim, formerly of Portland, Texas. The couple will be married on Sept. 20, 2014, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Meyersville. Dacey is a graduate of Cuero High School, Class of 2007, and Bobby is a graduate of Seguin High School, Class of 2003. Dacey graduated from Texas State University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Exercise Sports Science and in 2014 with a Masters of Healthcare Administration. She is an employee in hospital administration at Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels.
