Broll's celebrate 65 years

Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Broll celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 19, 2015. They were married at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown on June 19, 1950. They are blessed with 10 children, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. They have resided in Corpus Christi for the past 65 years.

Natalie Kathleen Thamm and Ryan Alan Childs, both of Austin, were married June 27, 2015, at Vintage Villas in Austin.
 
Natalie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Thamm and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bo Ronne-Lotz of San Antonio and Mrs. Charles Thamm of Cuero. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Currie of Kingwood and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Childs of Livingston. Natalie and Ryan’s wedding took place outside with a beautiful view of Lake Travis in the background.

Madilynn Rae Rippamonti

John and Jessica Rippamonti are proud to announce the birth of their second daughter, Madilynn Rae Rippamonti. She was born at 12:41 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Victoria. She weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 19 1⁄2 inches long. Welcoming her home are her big sister Paige, grandparents Jesse and Linda Hurta of Yorktown and Mike and Anna Rippamonti of Victoria. Great grandparents are Joe Hurta and Dorothy Lude of Weesatche and Christine Rippamonti of Victoria.

Dueser graduates with bachelors in B.A.

Devon V. Dueser graduated May 16, 2015 from the University of Houston-Victoria with her bachelors degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Devon has accepted a position of Senior Budget Analyst at UHV. She is currently working towards earning her master degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. Devon is the daughter of James and Eve Dueser. She is a 2010 graduate from Yorktown High School.

Kollin Rae Kerlick

Kyle and Krista Kerlick and big brother Korbin of Yorktown announce the birth of their son Kollin Rae Kerlick. Kollin arrived at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Citizens Hospital in Victoria. He weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and measured 19 inches in length. Proud grandparents ar Mr. & Mrs. Ricky Hilbrich and Clark Kerlick and the late Lori Kerlick of Yorktown. Great grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Byron Cramer and Mary Hilbrich of Yorktown and Mr. & Mrs. Jim Treybig of Port Lavaca.

McAda earns MBA

Adriane McAda earned a master of business administration from the Harvard Business School during the May 2015 commencement exercises in Boston, Mass. A native of Hallettsville, Adriane is the daughter of Dr. Wesley and Marilyn McAda. She is the granddaughter of Ann Adix and the late Carl Adix, Jr., and Dr. W.E. McAda and the late Pauline McAda, all of Yorktown. Adriane graduated from Hallettsville High School (2006) and the University of Texas at Austin Business Honors Program (2010). She will pursue a career as a senior consultant with Deloitte Consulting in New York City.

Wieland Family welcomes Troy Gunnar

 

Travis and Jennifer Wieland are happy to announce the birth of their son, Troy Gunnar, on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. He weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. Troy is welcomed home by two brothers, Michael and J.R., and one sister, Lorelei. Maternal grandparents are Tedd Chambers and Peggy and Wallace Maley, all of Refugio. Paternal grandparents are Jo Wieland of Yorktown and the late Troy Wieland. Paternal great grandmother is Neldine Ohrt of Meyersville.

Enriquez-Hernandez

Mr. Michael Ortiz and Mrs. Nancy Davis announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Heather Enriquez, to Mr. Derrick Hernandez, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rene Hernandez. Miss Enriquez graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders. She will attend graduate school in the fall at Texas State University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Mr. Hernandez is also a graduate of Texas State University. He is employed by Blanco ISD as a high school history teacher, head varsity basketball, head varsity track coach, and assistant varsity football coach. A wedding is planned for June 20, 2015 in Dripping Springs, Texas.

Valenzuela to join Navy

 

Joshua Adam Valenzuela, left, earned an Associates of Science from Victoria College with honors. He was homeschooled through high school and started college at 15 years old, graduating from college at 17. He is the son of John H. and Beatrice Valenzuela. He has been accepted for the Navy into the nuclear power engineer program and will start in August.
