Perez III retires after 26 years

Senior Chief Petty Officer Frank J. Perez III retired from the United States Navy on Aug. 17 at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD after 26 years of service.

Captain “DW” Kindley spoke at his ceremony. Family there to witness the occasion was his mom Mary, wife Letty, sons Francisco and Gabriel, and daughters Gabriella and Isabella. His eldest son Robert is deployed in Japan and serving in the USN as a PR2 at VP-1 squadron.

During the speech Capt. Kindley mentioned that Senior Perez is a warrior, prepared to give his all for something bigger than himself; a servant because it’s not about the recognition, it’s about giving of himself for others; and a leader who acknowledges his faults and pitches back into the fray, inspiring others to follow.
