Emma Bailey Bargmann

 

Russell and Sarah Bargmann are proud to 
announce the birth of their second daughter, Emma Bailey. She was born Aug. 12, 2014 at 4:50 p.m. She weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 inches long. Emma’s older sister is Ellie Brenna. Her grandparents are Dale and Kim Samuel of Sparta of Ky. and Bill and Carolyn Bargmann of Yorktown. Imes completes Nuclear Power Course

GOOSE CREEK, South Carolina – MM-3 Isaac Imes, a member of the enlisted class 1404, has completed the Advanced Naval Nuclear Power Course at Goose Creek, South Carolina.  The US Naval Nuclear Power Training Command had ten separate sections graduating with a total of 326 graduating sailors. Following graduation from Nuclear Power School, officers and enlisted personnel are assigned to one of the program’s prototype propulsion plants in New York or Moored Training Ships in South Carolina for 24 weeks of additional classroom and hands-on training. Doehrman-Nance

Sue and Mark Doehrman of Meyersville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dacey Marie Doehrman of Meyersville, to Bobby Layne Nance of Seguin, son of Laura Havelka, of New Braunfels, and Donna and Brian Nance of Seguin. Dacey is the granddaughter of Doris and the late Floyd Doehrman of Meyersville and Lucy and Duck Ohrt of Mission Valley. Bobby is the grandson of Mary and the late LeRoy Havelka of Portland, Texas, and Joe Pat and Patricia Nance, of Pilgrim, formerly of Portland, Texas. The couple will be married on Sept. 20, 2014, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Meyersville. Dacey is a graduate of Cuero High School, Class of 2007, and Bobby is a graduate of Seguin High School, Class of 2003. Dacey graduated from Texas State University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Exercise Sports Science and in 2014 with a Masters of Healthcare Administration. She is an employee in hospital administration at Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels.

Amber Sleek and Brett Gips were united in marriage Aug. 16, 2014, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown.
 
The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Roger Hawes.
 
The bride is the daughter of Kelly Sleek and Jim Sleek of Fremont, Ohio. The groom is the son of Dawn and Greg Gips of Wimberley.
 
Amanda Shull, sister of the bride was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Christine Filer, Shay Sworden, Shelby Sworden, Dana Gips and Morgan Seals. The junior bridesmaid was Sydney Seifert and the flower girl was Bryleigh Sleek.

Green-McNary graduates with 3.6 GPA

D’Colby Green-McNary, a 2011 graduate of Cuero High School, graduated from The Art Institute College of Los Angeles on July, 20, 2014, with a degree in audio/music production. He finished with a GPA of 3.6 and was inducted into the Alpha Beta Gamma Society. He also made the dean’s list. Green-McNary’s next step is to get his business degree in the next year and live his dream of becoming a record executive, entrepreneur, author, philanthropist and model. Green-McNary is the son of Darcel Green of Cuero and Ron McNary of Corpus Christi. He is the grandson of Johnnie V. Green of Cuero and godchild of J.C. Mathis of Victoria. Contributed photo.

Brynlee Jae Blaschke

Blanca Ortiz and Joshua Blaschke proudly announce the birth of their baby girl, Brynlee Jae Blaschke. Brynlee was born on July 19, 2014 at 7:26 p.m. at Citizens Women Pavilion in Victoria. She weighed a whooping 6 lbs, 3 ozs and was 19 1/2 inches long. Brynlee's proud grandparents are Irma Ortiz of Yorktown, Richard and Missy Sappington of Nordheim. Vargas - Torres

 

Diane Vargas and Ronnie Torres were married on the pier at the Cuero Lake on July 12, 2014. Terry Brown officiated the wedding.
 
Rosalinda Mata, daughter of the bride, was matron of honor. Angelina Galindo, daughter of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Debbie Vargas, Courey King, Juana Lucio, Elizabeth Castro and Amy Castro. The bride’s wedding party wore long blue denim dresses with short sleeves.
 
Johnathon Galindo, the bride’s son, served as best man. Groomsmen were Tyler King, Taylor King and Johnathon Tharp.

Marissa and Brandon Austin of Austin, Texas announce the arrival of their daughter, Olivia Nicole Austin. Olivia was born at Seton Southwest in Austin on June 16, 2014, and weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces. Olivia’s grandparents are Marsha Mueller Moore and the late Billy G. Moore of San Marcos, and the late Jack and Judy Austin of Dallas. Great-grandparents include Gladys Mueller and the late Carlton H. Emilee Rae Friesenhahn

Charlie and Tara Friesenhahn of Yorktown are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Emilee Rae Friesenhahn, on July 17, 2014 at 7:31 p.m. at DeTar Women and Children’s Hospital.  Emilee Rae tipped the scale at 5 pounds, 10 ounces and measured 18.5 inches in length.
