Walker graduates TLU

Shyra Mone’t Walker graduated from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin on May 11 with a bachelor of arts degree in biology. Shyra is the daughter of Alvin and Deanna Walker of Cuero, granddaughter of Steven and Josephine Thompson of Cuero, Robert Gardner Sr. of Yoakum, and Beatrice Walker of Hallettsville. Shyra was a member of TLU’s Biological Academic Honor Society.

Dennis, Kainer announce engagement

Kayla Dennis of Pasadena, Texas and Trent Kainer of Cuero are pleased to announce their engagement. Kayla is the daughter of Becky and Gary Spargo of La Porte and Jeff and Vicky Dennis of Whitesboro. Trent is the son of Patsy and Davis Kainer of Cuero. The couple will marry Sunday, July 6 at the Venue.

Berger, Harryman announce engagement

Brianne Berger of Georgetown and Casey Harryman of Nursery are pleased to announce their engagement.  Brianne is the daughter of David Berger and Stacy Smith of Georgetown and Debie and Andy Quaglino of Conifer, Colo. Casey is the son of Kathy and Homer Harryman of Nursery. Brianne is a 2005 graduate of Georgetown High School, a 2008 graduate of Texas Lutheran University with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology, and a 2012 graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch with a doctorate in physical therapy. She is a geriatric home health and pediatric outpatient physical therapist at Health Force in Victoria. Casey is a 2005 graduate of Cuero High School and a 2009 graduate of Texas Lutheran University with a bachelor of science in kinesiology. He is an exercise physiologist at Citizen’s Healthplex in Victoria. The couple will marry June 1 at Harryman Ranch in Fordtran. The reception will be held at The Venue in Cuero.

Wild receives doctor of pharmacy degree

 

   KINGSVILLE — As the class representative for the Class of 2013 at the Texas A&M Health Science Center Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, colleagues say, Kathleen Wild represented well. 
   Wild received her doctor of pharmacy degree, graduating magna cum laude, from the TAMHSC Rangel College of Pharmacy on May 11, in Kingsville. 
   “Kathleen’s presence at the Rangel College of Pharmacy impacted the entire community, including the student body, faculty and staff,” said Anna H. Brozick, Pharm.D., M.M., assistant professor and director of introductory pharmacy practice experience. “She recognized the challenges of students — academically, professionally, and socially — and led by her example.” 
   Wild grew up in Cuero in South Texas and received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science at Texas A&M University.

Kuecker, Bailiff announce engagement

Wayne and Shirley Kuecker, of Cuero, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kaci Nicole Kuecker, of Denton, to James Lee Bailiff, of Denton, son of Richard Bailiff of Banner Elk, N.C. and Chris Beaulieu of Nokomis, Fla. Kaci is a 2007 graduate of Cuero High School, and a 2010 graduate of Texas Christian University where she received a bachelor of science in middle school math education.  She received a masters in secondary education from Texas Christian University in 2011, and is employed as an eighth grade math and algebra teacher with Timberview Middle School in Keller.

   Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dworaczyk of Yorktown are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Brynn Jordan Dworaczyk, to Clifton George Foulds III.
   Brynn is the granddaughter of Manroy and Gracie Wolpman of Yorktown; and Bill Dworaczyk and the late Delores Wishert of Yorktown.
   Cliff is the son of John and Melissa Biemer, and the late Cliff Foulds, Jr.; and the grandson of Larry and Sue Odom of Yorktown, and the late Cecil Murphy; Pauline Roch and the late Cliff Foulds Sr. of Houston; and Burt and Barbara Biemer of Yorktown.

Sixtos receives masters degree

 

   Joy Sixtos, daughter of Frank and Minnie Sixtos of Yorktown, graduated May 3 from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie. 
   She received a masters of arts degree in theological studies. 
   Joy was a 2004 honors graduate of Yorktown High School. 
  She attained an associate of science degree in 2004; an associate of arts degree from Victoria College in 2007; and, a bachelor of business administration degree in 2008 from the University of Houston-Victoria.

Herwig completes CNA course

 

   Morgan Herwig, a Yorktown High School senior, recently completed her Certified Nurse Aide course at Yorktown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center under the direction of M. Feliz Garcia, LVN ADON.  
   YNRC has worked with Morgan on a flexible schedule to complete her 75 hours of training. Morgan completed all her coursework and clinical hours at YNRC, with absolutely no cost to her.  
   Feliz has been teaching the CNA course for over 34 years.
