New Hope Missionary Baptist Church announces new pastor

The new pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church is the Rev. Raymond C. Mays, Sr., The Rev. Mays and his wife Katie have four children: Shunne Mays-Powell, Raymond Mays, Jr., Bobby Mays And Brandon Mays.
 
The Rev. Mays has been in the ministry over 40 years in various churches including pastoring Little Zion Baptist Church and Antioch Baptist Church in Cuero.

CCH acquires ownership of Parkside Family Clinic

 

Cuero Community Hospital acquired ownership of Parkside Family Clinic on Aug. 11. The merger of Parkside Family Clinic and CCH aligns the hospital, doctors, and family nurse practitioners on to one team. CCH also acquired Bohman Clinic, Kenedy Family Practice, Nixon Family Practice and Yorktown Medical Clinic in June 2013.
 
“Bringing us together on one team will help us both navigate the very challenging and complex times ahead in healthcare,” said CCH CEO Skip Gjolberg.

CCH welcomes hospitalists

Cuero Community Hospital welcomed its new hospitalist program on Aug. 11 with a breakfast reception for employees and physician staff. The hospitalist program is part of a new juncture in healthcare to provide more assistive care to patients during their hospital stay. Friday's scrimmage to be held in Victoria

 

The Cuero Gobblers football teams had a location change for their scrimmage against Victoria West on Aug. 22.
 
Due to the construction of the Gobbler Stadium, the Gobblers will play at Memorial Stadium in Victoria. The junior varsity and freshman teams will play simultaneously at 5:30 p.m. The varsity team will play at 7 p.m.
