Clarence Coats

Clarence Coats entered into rest on March 11, 2015 at the age of 65. He was born in Corpus Christi, TX on March 5, 1950 to the late Clarence Coats, Sr. and Agnes Marie Denson Coats.

He is survived by his children Jason Coats and Donovan Coats, both of Victoria, Tywan Coats of Cuero, Rosetta Turner Sewell, Norica Coats, and Jasmine Coats, all of Houston, Cathyrn Coats of Victoria, and Leslie Coats of Cuero. He is also survived by his siblings Clarence Allen Coats, Jr. of Texas City, Arman Coats and Lillie Wyatt, both of Victoria; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Mike Jones, Edward Sewell, Justin Mathis, Glen Love, Terrell Robinson, and Nick Giles.

Maria R. Davis

VICTORIA – Maria R. Davis, age 90, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015. She was born on January 12, 1925 to the late Jose Rios and Maria Ybarra Rios in Beeville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband; Carl Fredric “Fred” Davis, parents, daughter; Helen Martinez, son; Jose Carlos Martinez, sister; Lela Saenz.

She is survived by her daughter; Mary Helen (Pedro) Corona of Corpus Christi, son; Adan “Donnie” (Michele) Martinez of Victoria, sisters; Estella J. (Benito) Martinez, and Margarita (Valentin) Campos of Beeville, brothers; Baldemar (Alicia) Saldiva of San Antonio, Pete (Beatrice) Saldiva of George West, and Inez (Cecelia) Salinas of Tucson, Ariz., four grandchildren and seven great‐grandchildren. Maria R. “Susie” Davis is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Harry Lee Schumacher

Harry Lee Schumacher, 69, of Cuero passed away Friday, March 6, 2015. He was born September 13, 1945 in Yoakum to the late Arthur and Elsie Schumacher. Harry graduated Cuero High School in 1964 and served in the United States Air Force as a diesel mechanic while stationed in Turkey. He married Lillie A. Vacek on July 26, 1992 at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Harry was the owner and operator of H. Schumacher Concrete and Construction and was most passionate about spending time with his family, fishing, cooking, and valued strong work ethic.

Willis Weise Baacke

Willis Weise Baacke, 90, of Yorktown died on March 1, 2015. She was born in Goliad County to the late Arthur and Minnie Weise.

She is survived by her sister Angel Lee Karnei of Victoria.

She is preceded in death by her husband Milton H. Baacke and brother James Weise.

Visitation will be March 3 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Massey Funeral Home in Yorktown. 

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on March 3 at the Nordheim Cemetery.

Sue Wheat

Stella "Sue" Wheat went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 27, 2015. Sue was born to the late  Jacqueline and Bailey Henderson in Freer, Texas on June 30, 1940 and was raised there.
 
She is survived by her daughter, Terry Gray and husband, Ron; son, Michael Wheat and wife, Rhonda; stepsons, Brad Wheat and wife, Michella, and Jonathan Wheat; grandchildren, Jason Floyd, Grant Wheat, Garrett Wheat, Dyanne Wheat, Marilyn Wheat and Rayce Wheat; great-grandchildren, Emory Wheat and Joseph Kincaid; brother, John Henderson and wife, Kay; nephews, Ty Henderson, Drew Henderson, Brian Henderson and Kyle Henderson. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Mike Wheat.
