Darren Lugine Brown

 

Darren Lugine Brown passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 at the age of 52. 
 
Darren was born May 27, 1962 in Cuero, Texas, to the late Lugine Brown and the late Margie Lewis. Darren enjoyed working and giving back to his community.
 
 Darren is survived by his mother Delia Brown of Cuero; sister Drosto Brown-Montgomery and brothers David Mayfield, Delfa Mayfield, Derek Brown and Dulaine Brown.
 
 A memorial service in Darren’s honor will be held on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 at 1:30 p.m at Heritage Funeral Home 8819 U.S Highway 87 N, Victoria, Texas.

Mamie Arriaga, 52, of Cuero, passed away on August 10, 2014. 
 
She was born to the late Santana Garza and Maria Rosales Garza.
 
She is survived by her mother, her children Lino Garza, Miguel Garza, her brother Ray Garza and her sisters Janie Garza, Ramona Garza and Maria Cruz. She is also survived by two grandchildren.
 
She is preceded in death by her husband Victor Arriaga and her brothers Jesse Garza and Santana Garza, Jr.
 
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Prevailing Faith Church in Cuero on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 2 p.m.

Daniel E. Cuellar

 

Daniel E. Cuellar, 67, of Bishop, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 3, 2014. He was born on Sept. 8. 
 
He had four children, Betty (Joe) Cuellar Perez of Bishop, Kim (Rene) Cuellar Trujillo of Houston, Danny E. Cuellar of Kingsville and Gregory L. Cuellar of Austin; and 14 grandchildren.
 
Danny played the guitar since he was 5 years old. Later, he played with different South Texas Latino bands like Dino & Freddy Martinez. He also played for a country band, Midnight Express. Later he started a gospel group called The Israelites and the Jericho’s with his cousin Fred Trevino. The group made five albums. He also owned and operated the Lonetree Barber Shop in Victoria.
