Lady Gobblers win Nixon–Smiley game

The Cuero Lady Gobblers played the Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs Nov. 26 at home. The Lady Gobblers beat the Lady Mustangs for the first time in the school’s history, 53-32.

The first half the Lady Gobblers took a strong lead but where the Lady Mustangs lacked in height they measured up in speed. Defensively they had more rebounds from the Lady Gobblers and were quick to steal the ball. They simply could not get the shots in the rim.
