| City of Cuero invites all to the annual 4th of July celebration in the municipal park. The Nordheim Brass band will play from 7 p.m. to dusk at the lake view knoll. Fireworks display will start at 9 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and ice chests (no glass containers) and join in celebrating Independence Day. |

| Cuero Summer Track and Field participants who have qualified to attend the AAU (Athletic Amateur Union) National Junior Olympics, will host a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, July 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The car wash will take place in O'Reilly's parking lot. Funds will help qualifiers attend the olympics, which will be held in Ypsilanti, Michigan the week of July 28 through August 2. | Cuero Gobbler season football tickets will go on sale starting Monday, July 7, at Cuero ISD Administration Office. Tickets will be available through August 12 for those individuals who had season tickets during the 2007-08 season. These tickets will also be available at the Gobbler Booster Club meeting on Aug. 6 and the Gobbler Kickoff Banquet on Aug. 11. Tickets will be sold Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No tickets will be sold on Fridays through July. Season tickets not purchased by previous season ticket holders will be available to the public August 13-22. After Aug. 25 reserved seat tickets will be sold on a per game basis only. |

| In observance of Independence Day, City Hall and City Administration will be closed Friday, July 4, and reopen on Monday, July 7. The Citizens Collection Center will be closed Friday, July 4, and reopen Saturday, July 5. The sanitation schedule will be as follows: There will be no residential or commercial solid waste pickup on Friday, July 4. The Monday and Thursday routes will be Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday and Friday routes will be on Tuesday and Thursday. |

| The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires all community water systems to deliver an Annual Consumer Confidence Report to their customers by July 1. The report mailed to the citizens of Cuero is provided by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. It is very important for citizens to rest assured that the water of Cuero is safe. Interested parties may pick up a copy of this report at the City Administration, 212 E. Main; City Hall, 201 E. Main; the Municipal Library, 207 E. Main; or Chamber of Commerce at 124 E. Church in Cuero. |

| Cuero Country Opry, sponsored by Pilot Club of Cuero, will be held each month at the VFW Hall. The next performance will be July 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dinner is catered by Werner's and will be served at 5:30 p.m. The show will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and this includes dinner and the show. Tickets may be purchased at Reuss Pharmacy, Prosperity Bank, Ful-O-Pep, Cuero Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, as well as members of the Pilot Club of Cuero. | Grace Episcopal Church's Eighth Annual July 4 Family Fun Carnival will be held on Friday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cuero Park Pavilion. The “Young Patriots Parade” will begin at 9:30 a.m. There will be activities for the family: old-fashioned booths including cake/toy walk, face painting, merry-go-round, dunking booth, train ride, country store, concessions, bucket auction, plant sale, contests such as hoola-hoop, watermelon seed spitting, egg toss, and raffle. There are nine raffle items including gas card, jewelry, meat certificate, gift cards, plus luncheon and “ladies night out”. Raffle tickets are one for $1 or six for $5. Admission and contests are free and tickets for booths are 50 cents each. Proceeds will benefit several local charities and the Grace Episcopal Church Restoration and Renovation Fund.
