Gobbler cross-country runs in Regionals, Hansel headed to State

On October 3 the cross country team traveled to Bay City. In the Varsity Division, Buster Hansel placed 5th, John Evans Placed 27th and Alfonso Urbano placed 94th. Running for Junior Varsity boys, Devin Matson placed 19th. Also, Angelica Cantu placed 64th on the Junior Varsity girls team.
On October 28 the cross country team traveled to Poth. Running for the Varsity Boys team, Buster Hansel placed1st and John Evans placed 11th. Angelica Cantu, running for the Varsity Girls, placed 24th.
District was ran on October 27th. Buster Hansel was the district champ placing 1st. John Evans placed 3rd. Buster and John both qualified for the regional meet in San Antonio.
On November 7, Buster Hansel and John Evans represented Cuero at the Regional meet. Buster placed 2nd overall and qualified for state which will be ran on November 14th. John placed 49th with personal best time. John was the 2nd person to make it across the finish line of the runners who ran from this district.
