Hilda Diebel, 97, a lifelong resident of Goliad County passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in Goliad, Texas.
She was born April 23, 1912 to the late Theodore and Almeda Dohmann Fromme. She was a homemaker and an active member of St. Andrews Lutheran Chuch.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, Gilbert Diebel; daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Edgar Berger; sisters, Annie Karnei and Adeline Speed; brother, Werner Fromme and a grandchild, Jeffrey Duderstadt.
Survivors are a Daughter, Waynell (Darwyn) Duderstadt of Weesatche, Texas; four grandchildren, Craig (Luann) Duderstadt of Weser, Tanya (Nolan) Jacob of Weesatche, Texas, Stephen (Tracy) Berger of Weser, Texas and Darla (Chad) Shelton of Goliad; Great Granchildren, Ashley, Megan, Brittany, Katelynn, Ty, Colton, Logan, Ryan, and Reagan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Finch Funearl Chapel in Yorktown. Funeral service was held Friday, November 20, 2009 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Weesatche, Texas with C.B. Suggs S.A.M. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Andrews Lutheran Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Craig Duderstadt, Stephen Berger, Nolan Jacob, Chad Shelton, Ty Shelton, Colton Shelton and Ryan Berger. Honorary Pallbearers were Asley Duderstady, Megan Duderstadt, Brittany Jacob, Katelynn Jacob, Reagan Berger an Logan Shelton.
