Frosh take on Poth, then Nordheim-Runge Tournament

In their fourth game of the young season, the Freshmen Gobblers took on Poth on December 1. The Gobblers and Pirates were neck and neck through the first half, with the Gobblers trailing 28-25. A lapse in defense during the third and fourth quarters however gave Poth the win 59-48.
On December 10, the Gobblers hit the road for tournament play, looking to get the season on track after a 1-3 start.
In game one of the tournament, the Gobblers ran away with the win, defeating Runge 73-27. The Gobblers held a 32-10 lead at halftime and didn’t let up in the second half.
Their second tournament game saw Cuero matched up against Falls City. The Gobblers led 9-4 after one and 41-38 after three, but in the end Falls City came out on top. The Beavers stole victory from the Gobblers 52-51.
In the consolation game on December 12, the Gobblers faced Nordheim and came away with a victory 47-41. The Gobblers found themselves trailing 13-7 after one quarter but battled back to take a 18-17 lead at halftime.
