Sarah Margaret Breeden, age 85, of Cuero, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009. She was born in Victoria October 10, 1924 to the late Charles and Algerita Hesse Davidson.
Sarah is survived by her husband Paul H. Breeden Jr., two sons, Charles Breeden and Paul Breeden (Buddy) and wife Doris of Victoria, and daughter Susan Foster and husband Jeff of Austin. Also surviving are grandchildren Kristen Trial and husband Jason of Pleasanton, Brad Breeden of Bryan and one great grandchild Jordan Trial of Pleasanton.
She married husband, Paul H. Breeden Jr. December 24, 1945 in Moss Point, Mississippi. Sarah attended Texas Tech in Lubbock and graduated from the University of Texas with a BA in Home Economics. She taught for a short time at Horace Mann Middle School in San Antonio but will be most remembered by her students as a fourth grade teacher at Hunt Elementary in Cuero until she retired in 1980.
After her retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling and she took much pride in caring for her family and home. Her family will will always have fond memories of her at her sewing machine and enjoying her many upholstering, decorating, and gardening projects. She is a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of South Texas, Victoria, Accolade Hospice (while in the Cuero Nursing and Rehabilitation Center), and all the nurses and aides who were so kind and understanding during the most difficult time in her life. The family will always be grateful for your kindness, and to all our friends at Twin Pines Nursing Home in Victoria.
A small service for family and close friends will be held at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Grace Episcopal Church in Cuero and to The Alzheimer's Association.
