Constitution talk March 15
Do you think the United States Constitution written by the founders in 1787 is still relevant today? There is a movement to convene another constitutional convention; it is titled an Article 5 convention of the states. Now, we hear the Texas Senate has already passed SJR2 calling for a con-con. Sadly we also hear that our Senator Lois Kolkhorst voted in favor.
If you think the idea of a constitutional convention is a good idea, then I invite you to the University of Houston-Victoria, university north building, at 3007 N. Ben Wilson, Wednesday, March 15 at 7 p.m.
If you understand a con-con is not such a good idea you are still invited to come and hear constitutional scholar Robert Brown. His talk is titled “Change It or Obey It, Why the Constitution is the Solution.”
There will be a $10 charge for the event co-hosted by DeWitt and Victoria chapters of the John Birch Society.
