Crossroads Guardians of Hope pink fire truck visits JFC campus

The John C. French school staff honored October and breast cancer survivors in the most heartfelt way. On Tuesday, Oct. 15, four special staff members at JCF were surprised by the Crossroads Guardians of Hope pink fire truck. Debbie, the name of the fire truck, is covered in hundreds of signatures from those battling, in memory of, or survivors of cancer.

Crossroads Guardians of Hope is an organization dedicated to providing support, awareness and even fundraising for those affected by cancer.

The fire truck was on campus to honor four ladies in particular on Tuesday morning: Christie Tilghman, a teacher aide, recently finished chemotherapy, Laura Veth, a JCF first grade teacher, is a 15-year survivor, Susie Gomez, speech language pathologist, is a two-time breast cancer survivor of 12 years, and  Suzanne Richardson, a first grade aide and 22-year survivor.

Each of the ladies were able to sign their name on the fire truck in front of family, friends, and students.
