A new way to shop and sell is coming to Cuero very soon, Saturday, March 7 to be exact. Courtney Moore and Stephanie Nerada came up with the idea to host Market Days at the Cuero VFW; this indoor shopping experience will focus on local creators and vendors, giving them a chance to sell their products to local buyers.

With all the creative side projects folks have been doing, Inspire Creations LLC, the business Moore and Nerada formed, is looking to make an easier shopping experience.

“We’ve been friends since the 4th grade,” stated the business duo in an online interview. “Since high school, we’ve always dreamed of going into business together.  Even though the timing has never been perfect, we decided to just go for it and start our business.” “

We wanted to create a place for networking amongst the vendors, as well as providing a venue for the community to shop small, local businesses all in one day.”

Pretty much all set for the first Market Days on March 7, Inspire Creations looks to keep the shopping experience versatile.

“Right now, we have around 25 vendors, including several boutiques, a few bakeries, direct sellers as well as wood-crafters signed up [Saturday].” The event will be at the Cuero VFW Hall once a month on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Allowing their experiences with personal projects to help them, the duo wanted to bring the experience to Cuero.

“We have both participated in different vendor events throughout the area, and felt like there was a need to bring a vendor event to Cuero. We wanted to help local entrepreneurs that didn’t have a storefront to be able to showcase their business.”

Giving back doesn’t stop there for Inspire Creations; the duo plans to give back to the community with funds raised.

“It was very important for both of us to be able to give back to the community that raised us. Each month after we pay the hall rental fee, we will donate the proceeds to a different local organization each month. The first month’s proceeds will go to the 2020 CHS Project Graduation.”

Inspire Creations would like to create a fun, family friendly event where people can shop and support their local vendors. As small business owners, they explained that they know the importance of shopping local and are excited to bring this to Cuero.

Mitchell Crain, J.D. Notaro and Devin Whittington will be providing entertainment on March 7; Moore and Nerada are also looking to have food trucks come to the VFW as well.
