Santa visits Yorktown

Santa arrived in downtown Yorktown on Thursday, Dec. 5 via firetruck to hear children’s Christmas lists. Plenty of families gathered on Main Street for their photos with Santa, and to watch performances by Yorktown Hermann Sons Dancers and from the students of Christa Leigh’s School of Dance. Sponsored by the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce, shops stayed open late to allow for folks to get ahead of the holiday shopping. Yorktown Volunteer Fire Department held their annual stew fund raiser which was enjoyed by plenty of Yorktown folks. A busy downtown on Thursday evening would note a great turnout for the event.
