Conoco gives back

This past Friday night, Conoco Phillips gave back to the Yorktown community in a big way. During a break in the Johnny Lee and Moe Bandy concert at 5D Steakhouse, Bill Pace of Conoco Phillips presented a check to the Yorktown Volunteer EMS for $30,000 and another matching check to the Yorktown ISD Athletic Department. 

When asked why Conoco Phillips chose to present such a sum to the two, Pace was quick and confident in his answer.

“This community has welcomed the oilfield so well,” Pace said. “A lot of people came for the oil, but stayed for the community. We wanted to give back to Yorktown for welcoming our company and people as they have.”
