Finishing first in anything is quite an accomplishment, and that includes being the top graduate in your high school class. Brittney Lange can officially add her name to the list of Cuero High School valedictorians, a goal she has had since she was a young girl.

“It feels unreal,” Lange said. Like many high school students can attest to, the last four years have had trying moments, but with a focus on academics and a drive to succeed, Lange was able to overcome.

With high school now at an end, Lange will continue her education not too far from home at Baylor University.

“As someone who really values academics, I really wanted to go to a university,” she said.

While at Baylor, Lange will study studio art and professional writing.
