Dr. McAda Day declared

After giving so much of himself to the community for so many years, the people gave back. Friends and family gathered to honor Dr. W.E.(Bill) McAda, DVM.
Born in 1925 near Kenedy, Bill McAda was at home around animals. His family raised cows, pigs and chickens, and he was an avid hunter and athlete. Ever the competitor, McAda served as a captain on the football team and as a judging competitor on his FFA team. Following highschool, Bill McAda team captain became 40th Infantry scout McAda. After training at Fort Hood, he shipped out to serve in the Pacific, the Phillipines, and Korea for two and a half years. Upon his return, his life around animals led him to Texas A&M to become a veterinarian.
