Macedo charged in Victoria County triple homicide

32-year-old Emilio Miguel Macedo is being charged with Capital Murder of Multiple Persons and Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon is currently in custody at the Victoria County jail after a pursuit ended in a crash in DeWitt County.

A 911 call came into the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office at 10:39 a.m. this morning, Nov. 8, of a possible shooting in the 10000 block of FM 236 according to Victoria County Sheriff Deputy Franklin. Victoria County Sheriff Deputies arrived on scene and investigative efforts led them to believe that a homicide had taken place at that location. Information obtained on scene led law enforcement to believe that the suspect fled the location and was headed to DeWitt County and that information was given to the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office.

A DeWitt County Deputy saw a vehicle matching the description given by Victoria County of a red Ford truck driving towards Cuero on FM 236. When the deputy turned around the vehicle fled and a pursuit began. Cuero PD attempted to deploy spike strips, but the driver swerved, going off the road, striking a culvert and utility pole before the truck landed on its side. He was then taken into custody at gunpoint by law enforcement and transported to the Victoria County Jail.
