Over $180,000 in stolen ATVs recovered in DeWitt County

Over $180,000 of stolen ATVs were recovered in DeWitt County according to DeWitt County Sheriff Carl Bowen.

Operating off a lead, the Victoria Police Department Auto Theft Unit asked for assistance from the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office to recover the ATVs from a property on Dickinson Road.

The ATVs were stolen from Dale’s Fun Center in Victoria sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning.

Approximately 11 ATVs were recovered in a barn on the 100 acre property in northern DeWitt County.

“No one is in custody at this time; leads are still being followed but this is a significant recovery. I’m pleased our agencies could work together to get the property back where it belongs,” said Bowen.
