From snow and ice to bright sunshine in less than a week

The usual hustle and bustle of Cuero was at a near stalemate for most of last week, as freezing temperatures brought snow and ice into the county.
Warm feelings on Valentine’s Day were washed out by the sinister cold which swept through the entire state of Texas that day. Temperatures dropped below freezing on Sunday, Feb. 14 and remained there most of the week. Temperatures crept above 32 degrees Fahrenheit on Wednesday, Feb. 17 but quickly dropped again the following day.
