Carpools to Victoria for their daughters’ gymnastics lessons led to the start of a friendship between Suzy Adams and Sarah Gossett. Soon after, a gymnastics studio was started in Cuero and with it the inception of a popular monogramming and trophy store: A Special Stitch.

“We started about 10 years ago,” Adams recalled.

After carpooling to Victoria for several years, they decided to start South Texas Elite Gymnastics in Cuero with coach Chad Ganaway. It was at the gymnastics studio where Adams and Gossett started monogramming leotards for some of the athletes.

“Initially, we were only monogramming gym outfits,” Adams noted. “We ran it in the gym, and all of a sudden it started growing.”
