Despite Hurricane Harvey causing damage to many places in the community, it has continued to bring people together. One such building which suffered greatly was LifeWay Baptist Church which also houses LifeWay School for kids from six weeks old to pre-kindergarten and an after school program through fifth grade.
Pastor Glen Moore and Children’s Minister Kecia Haas were notified by text the day of the storm Aug. 26 that there was major roof damage.
“I really didn’t worry about it honestly,” Haas stated. “I already had this place in mind. God had a place for us.”
