Cristal Josephine Leal Galindo

Cristal Josephine Leal Galindo, 39, of Cuero went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021. She was born Dec. 4, 1981 in Houston to Jesus Roberto Leal Sr. and Janie Castillo Leal.  Cristal was also known as Nina and Kiko. She married Michael Allen Galindo on Jun. 7, 2019 in Cuero.  She worked as a Security Officer and a Private Care taker. She was a Cane Corso and Bulldog breeder.  She loved her dogs, but her favorites were Athena and Ghost.  Her fur babies were like real babies to her and she loved them dearly.  She was the true definition of beautiful from the inside out.  Cristal was an amazing wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, goddaughter, godmother, cousin and friend. She was truly the best godmother and mom to her nephew, Cody Baker “Bean”.  He was her everything.  Thanks to her little sister and brother-in-law for sharing him with her from the very day he was born. She loved any kind of arts and crafts and especially enjoyed making rosaries and donating them to the churches. Cristal had one of the sweetest, most generous loving hearts and soul anyone could have ever known. Cristal was not rich, but she had a genuine heart.  She would give to any and everyone in need. If she couldn’t buy it, she would make it and give open hearted without expecting anything in return. She was loved by more than one could count.  She cherished the memories we all made and even more the ones of her late daddy, grandma and grandpa.  Over the years she has always made sure they had beautiful flowers and balloons at their graves. Cristal was a big part of our hearts. She was a huge part of our world, and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Janie and Dennis Weise; husband, Michael Galindo; stepsons, Michael Galindo, Jr. and Hunter Galindo; sisters, Savannah Leal Baker (Cody, Sr.) and Christina Wright; brothers, Jesus R. Leal II “Bo” (Jessica) and Douglas Wright; nephews, Cody Baker Jr. “Bean”. Kayden Leal, Grayson Leal, Nicholas, Landon, Douglas Jr. Wright, Elijah Mejias, Kolby Gonzalez, Caleb Stoneburner, Jayden Frizzell and Reid Stone; nieces, Isabella Leal, Kacey, Breeana, Elizabeth and Destiny Gonzalez, Alyssa Leister, Riley, Ava and Emma Galindo, Crystal. Amanda and Patricia Rodriguez; godchildren, Cody Baker, Jr. “Bean”, Devin Leister, Konstance Hernandez, Bayli Mejia and Logan Villegas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jesus Roberto Leal, Sr.; grandfather, Martin R. Castillo Sr.; grandmother, Tomacita (Tommie) Castillo; aunt, Alicia (Cali) Leal and Maria Argentina (Tina) Leal.
