Theresa Ann Pate, 60, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2019. She was born May 19, 1958 in New Braunfels to the late Albert and Dolphie (Salena) Kubecka.
Theresa worked as a loan secretary for Crossroads Bank for the last 18 years. She loved her “work” family and was known for her infectious smile and joy for life. She fought a courageous two-year battle against pancreatic cancer.
Survivors are her husband Chad Pate of Yoakum; son, William “Fred” Finney II (Stacy) of Cuero; granddaughter, Jackie Finney of Cuero; sisters, Mary Alice Klaus (Eddie) of Portland and Linda Boothe (Roger) of Cuero; brother Johnny Kubecka (Maureen) of Sugarland; father & mother-in-law, Charles and Betty Pate; brother-in-law, Chuck Pate (Lynette) of Yoakum and sister-in-law Kim Pate Cook (Si) of Waco; her much loved nieces and nephews; her beloved “work” family and a host of friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Ken Pate; nephew Tyler Pate.
Visitation was 3-5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 10 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rosary recited at 5 p.m.
Funeral Mass was at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 11 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial to follow at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Hollas Hoffman of Austin Street Baptist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Ann Catholic Cemetery or Hospice of South Texas-Center of Compassion.
